A Tender Intelligence Analyst identifies, analyzes, and shortlists government or private sector bidding opportunities (tenders/RFPs) to support business growth. They monitor procurement platforms, assess eligibility and feasibility, analyze competitor activity, and provide actionable insights for bid/no-bid decisions. This role requires strong research skills, knowledge of public procurement, and ability to prepare analytical reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Monitoring: Actively track opportunities on government e-tender portals (e.g., GeM, CPPP) and private platforms.
- Opportunity Screening: Evaluate tenders against company capabilities, project value, and eligibility requirements.
- Competitor & Market Analysis: Research competitor behavior and market trends to improve bid win rates.
- Report Generation: Prepare, summarize, and present weekly or monthly intelligence reports on high-quality prospects.
- Bid Support: Support the business development and bid teams by analyzing technical and commercial requirements in RFPs.
- Compliance & Risk Check: Assess potential tender risks and ensure all eligibility requirements are met before submission.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in tender research, RFP analysis, or bid management.
- Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in navigating national or regional government tender platforms.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex project requirements and technical documents.
- Communication: Excellent writing and reporting skills to communicate insights to leadership.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word) and database tools.
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Relevant experience in a specialized industry (e.g., Construction, IT, Defense) is often preferred.
