TENDERING & ESTIMATION ENGINEER

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimation Engineer to develop accurate cost estimates for engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to prepare competitive bids and support budgeting and planning activities. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, material take-offs, labor and equipment costs, and market rates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and develop bill of quantities (BOQ) or bill of materials (BOM).
• Liaise with procurement and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and services.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
• Develop cost comparison sheets and evaluate alternative design or execution options.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and risks.
• Prepare and submit complete bid packages, including technical and commercial proposals.
• Update and maintain estimation databases, cost libraries, and historical data.
• Analyze and track actual project costs vs. estimates to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering solutions.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and change order evaluations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering -Civil.
• Diploma in QS
• 3–8+ years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or EPC projects.
• Software knowledge- Candy/ P6 or Equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of estimation tools, cost analysis, and pricing techniques.
• Familiar with construction methods, industry codes, and standard practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED14,000.00 per month
