FUNCTION: General Trade & Alternate Trade

REPORTING TO: Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Financial Outcomes

  • Primary Sales - Develop the channel partner network and implement the distribution objectives to drive reach & penetration across the territory
  • Secondary sales (Retail Distribution) - Increase number of retail outlets, maintain high service level, drive visibility of all categories of products and ensure commercial hygiene (usage of technology while placing retail orders) in the territory
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plan targeting Key Corporates (KCs) and other Big Institutions within the designated area; Identify opportunities within tenders, RFPs, and other procurement channels.

Customer Service

  • Provide ground-level inputs for promotions, local activations & demand forecasting exercise
  • Ensuring timely submission of stockiest claim along with supporting documents adhering to the company’s guidelines
  • Develop and execute E – Commerce Startegies, oversee platform operations, and analyse performance metrics for operation.
  • Manage the E – Commerce product catalogue, ensure effective category management, plan / execute digital marketing campaigns, and analyse E – Commerce metrics for improvement.

Internal Processes

  • Regular analysis of primary & secondary sales data to identify gaps in the business & providing insights to Sales Manager
  • Timely communication with CFAs / Distributors to maintain timely supplies. Real-time follow-ups with CFAs / Distributors for stock conversion & delivery
  • Co-ordination with Finance team for pricing issues, accounts settlement, claims management

Innovation and Learning

  • Capability building of the indirect sales force by communicating and reviewing their delivery against expectations, and enhancing their sales skills by conducting market work with them & regular training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must have a two-wheeler with valid driving licence.
  • Languages: Tamil, English and Hindi – mandatory.
  • Education: Minimum Undergraduate (UG) degree; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in Starch sales, FMCG, and Distribution management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹350,000.00 per year
