This is a 3 month limited term position and is funded from Dept. and external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.
The Health Outcomes Research and Policy department of the Harrison College of Pharmacy is accepting applications for a TES Research Assistant position. The individual will support a scientific researcher on a project focused on infrastructure development, database construction, and machine learning–enabled analytics. The candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of project-specific computational systems, with responsibilities spanning relational database engineering, software development, and applied machine learning.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in JavaScript and PHP is required to support both front-end and back-end development for database-driven applications and research tools.

Hands-on experience in machine learning, including model development, evaluation, and deployment, as well as strong Python programming skills and a solid background in statistics.

Supervise graduate students, provide technical guidance, and support the completion of project milestones.

Effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to work collaboratively within a research team, participate in scientific discussions, and contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, technical reports, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a content-specific area of research.
Pay Range: USD $25.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
