Salary:
At EUSSD, compensation is determined through a comprehensive approach that considers candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.
About the Role:
Supervise Test Site Technicians at a specific site to ensure that the technical, administrative, schedule and budget goals for the department are achieved. Use Engineering principles to design and oversee Environmental tests and capture data.
Core Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure Technicians are working toward set goals and remaining productive

Determines whether the quality of the work is acceptable

Provide technical and administrative guidance, and assign daily work tasks and schedules
-
Determine the skills the team members need to acquire
-
Give weighted input to the Department Manager in formal performance reviews and disciplinary action
-
Interact with customers and Program Managers for technical support. May also review test results
-
Troubleshoot escalated testing issues
-
Perform testing and/or measures tasks
-
Other - Perform other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTS:

Provides direct supervision to department Technicians; acts as an advisor, may become actively involved, as required to meet schedules and resolve problems

Able to complete technical and mechanical procedures; monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit

Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules

Frequently interacts with other supervisors, and requires ability to gain cooperation of others, regarding project technical info or schedules

Strong interpretation and analysis of test results

Comprehensive understanding of Engineering principles, data interpretation, environmental testing & troubleshooting

Strong knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical principles, and of all potential aspects of safety
-
Strong supervisory skills; strong mathematical skills; mastery of all standard and complex Environmental equipment; Proficient MS Office skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical Certification, AA in Engineering; BS in Engineering preferred
-
Minimum 5 years in a related field
