Profile Summary:
Skilled and detail-oriented Testing Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in the testing and quality assurance of Protection Panels, Local Control Cubicles (LCC), Switchgear, and Automation Panels. Possesses a strong understanding of protection schemes, control logic, interlocking circuits, and system integration. Experienced in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and client inspections, with a proven record of ensuring compliance with technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements.

Core Competencies:

  • Testing of Protection & Control Panels (MV/LV)
  • Local Control Cubicles (LCC) and Switchgear Systems
  • Substation Automation Systems (SAS)
  • Relay Configuration & Secondary Injection Testing
  • Protection Scheme Understanding (Feeder, Transformer, Busbar, etc.)
  • Functional & Interlock Verification
  • Handling Customer FAT and Technical Inspections
  • Coordination with Engineering and Production Teams
  • Documentation – Test Reports, FAT Procedures, Inspection Checklists
  • Compliance with IEC / Utility Standards and Project Specifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and final testing of protection, control, and automation panels as per approved drawings and test plans.
  • Verify wiring, interlocks, and protection schemes through schematic checks and functional testing.
  • Configure and test protective relays and IEDs (e.g., Siemens, ABB, SEL, Schneider, GE).
  • Prepare and execute FAT procedures and coordinate with clients and consultants during FAT sessions.
  • Ensure all test instruments are calibrated and maintained as per QA/QC requirements.
  • Identify and resolve non-conformities during testing and coordinate corrective actions with design and production teams.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, inspection records, and documentation for customer submission.
  • Support commissioning teams with technical clarifications when required.

  • Excellent understanding of electrical protection principles and automation logic.
  • Good communication and customer-handling skills.
  • Hands-on experience in factory environment and electrical safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relay testing software (OMICRON / Megger / etc.).

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Training or certification in Protection & Relay Testing (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
