Job Summary
The Testing Operations Manager is responsible for the set-up and flawless execution of all projects fielding at the local Curion facility, including but not limited to Central Location Tests (CLTs), Home Use Tests (HUTs), Focus Groups, and Quantitative Descriptive Analysis (QDA®) groups. The Testing Operations Manager supervises the field technician staff, ensuring attention to necessary protocols, and coordinates all communications with the project team. The Testing Operations Manager manages resources ensuring the quality, timeliness, and accuracy project requirements.
Responsibilities Include
  • Overseeing kitchen set up, ensuring appropriateness for test execution
  • Confirming the accurate setup of testing software (RedJade, Decipher, etc.)
  • Ensuring the study follows proper protocols
  • Managing a staff of 5-20+ employees (depending on workload, varies by location)
  • Managing staff schedules, timecard approvals, vacation requests, and performance evaluations
  • Holding daily pre-study briefings with kitchen team to review projects of the day
  • Managing the training new Field Technicians and Test Supervisors
  • Working directly with onsite clients during testing
  • Communicating with project managers to coordinate timely arrival of all necessary supplies/paperwork
  • Acting as point person for all incoming product shipments, including unpacking product, assessing for damage, and ensuring appropriate product storage
  • Working closely with Test Supervisor for inventory control, with specific attention to proper product handling and storage protocols
  • Preparing and shipping outgoing product
  • Managing HUT execution, including confirmation of placement packages/bags, printing packing slips or other documentation, and reviewing of the project with the placement team, including CLs
  • Overseeing all kitchen related activities, including quality control and coding of product by staff
  • Participating in project related meetings, including recruit and execution briefings
  • Effectively communicate with employees at all levels
  • Entering Post Project Execution Scores
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, including prevention of slips, trips, and falls, recording injuries, etc.
  • When needed, acting as backup to Test Supervisor for product photos
  • When needed, acting as backup to Facility Director for building issues, supply orders, or any other facility management requirements
  • Assisting with client hospitality when needed
  • Assisting with kitchen execution, when necessary, to include labeling, portioning, serving, and cleanup
Job Qualifications
  • Experience managing a team
  • Excellent organizational skills with a particular focus upon managing details
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills—both written and oral
  • Able to work proactively as a member of a team or independently
  • Ability to use computer keyboard, monitor, and participate in audio/video conversations
  • Ability to develop and meet schedules
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with Asana
  • 1 to 4 years of market research experience is a plus
  • Restaurant kitchen experience or kitchen manager experience preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements:
Job applicants must be able to fulfil the following physical requirements with or without accommodation:
  • Able to stand on feet for extended periods
  • Able to walk within facility for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds on occasion is preferred
For Curion’s Testing Operations Manager position, we offer a starting salary range of 50,000-60,000 plus bonus eligibility based on the qualifications and experience of each individual. Curion offers a benefits package for this position which includes:
