Testing Technician (Production Operations)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Testing Technician to join our dynamic production operations team. The ideal candidate will conduct testing on compressed overwrapped pressure vessels while adhering to testing processes, driving continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring the highest quality standards.

Job Title: Testing Technician (Production Operations)

Core Job Responsibilities:·

  • Escalate issues preventing us from achieving the production targets safely and efficiently.
  • Work in accordance with established safety rules and good housekeeping practices.
  • Material handling of raw materials, in-process assemblies and finished goods.
  • Suggest ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability of testing operations.
  • Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate procedures including quality policies, safety policies, AS9100, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc. standards.
  • Maintain a positive, healthy work environment, and continually promote the HyPerComp way culture.
  • Perform testing operations including fitting assembly, instrumentation, hydro-pump operation, gas booster pump operation, leak detection, data acquisition, etc.
  • Operate and maintain hardware, high-pressure systems and pumps, and other ancillary equipment, including pneumatic components.
  • Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of high-pressure pumps according to manuals and procedures.
  • Perform ultrasonic testing, sonic resonance testing, and visual testing per HyPerComp’s non-destructive testing certification program (compliant with NAS 410 and SNT-TC-1A standards).
  • Accurately follow work instructions, document tool and material traceability, and document measurements.
  • Prepare testing documentation and update daily testing metrics.
  • Support maintenance activities including cleaning, organization, facility maintenance improvements, and equipment maintenance and installation.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  • As needed, assist in performing fabrication operations and tasks including rotational molding, detailed liner and assembly inspections, filament winding, composite curing, bonding, composite inspections, CNC router operation, etc.

Typical Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • High proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, and machinery
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Industry experience in a related field
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and an acceptable driving record to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and maintain passing status throughout employment

  • Experience following Shop Floor Work Instructions

  • Team player-leadership, communication, and willingness to own mistakes
  • Experience in quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100
  • Experience in lean manufacturing systems and processes
  • Non-Destructive testing certification

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
