About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Textile Designer with strong fabric knowledge. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with various fabric types, understanding their compositions, and ensuring material quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting our design and production teams to ensure every fabric meets KSHM’s creative and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and visualize textile concepts aligned with KSHM’s brand aesthetics.

• Analyze and select fabrics based on texture, composition, and performance.

• Conduct fabric quality checks — including wrinkle resistance, shrinkage, and durability.

• Identify and resolve fabric defects such as removing wrinkle , uneven dyeing, or texture inconsistencies.

• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure fabric suitability for each collection.

• Maintain detailed records of fabric types, suppliers, compositions, and usage.

• Work closely with vendors and mills to source, test, and approve new materials.

• Ensure adherence to quality, sustainability, and brand standards during material selection.

• Provide creative input on patterns, prints, and textures that enhance product appeal.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of fabric composition, texture, and material behavior.

• Ability to identify and correct physical fabric issues (wrinkles, shrinkage, etc.).

• Knowledge of fabric testing methods and textile finishing techniques.

• Excellent coordination skills between design, sourcing, and production teams.

• Attention to detail with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.

• Creative approach to fabric development aligned with fashion trends.

• Familiarity with textile design tools or CAD software is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or a related field.

• 3 years of experience in textile design, fabric sourcing, or quality control within apparel or lifestyle brands.

• Strong understanding of woven, knitted, and blended fabric structures.

• Practical knowledge of textile manufacturing and finishing processes.
• Candidates from reputed fashion institutes such as NIFT, Pearl Academy, or equivalent will be preferred.
