SEEKING THEATER ARTS COORDINATOR FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

The Hellenic Classical Charter Schools are public charter schools located in Brooklyn (HCCS-PS) and Staten Island (HCCS-SI). HCCS provides a classics based education in the study of humanities and literature for students in Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grades.

Seeking Theater Arts Coordinator: 7:45 am start - Great time and attendance, good work ethic, team player, learner, compassionate, good communication skills, positive attitude, energetic and good classroom management skills.

The Theater Arts Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive theater arts program.
  • Directing and producing school plays, musicals, and performances.
  • Teaching acting, stagecraft, and related theater courses as assigned.
  • Overseeing auditions, casting, rehearsals, and performance schedules.
  • Managing technical elements including sets, lighting, sound, costumes, and props.
  • Supervising and mentoring students in both performance and backstage roles.
  • Coordinating production budgets, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborating with faculty, administration, and families to promote the theater program.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Theater Education or related degree
  • Fingerprint clearance

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
