JOB PURPOSE: The Host is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first and last
impression for guests while supporting the overall flow and service of food and beverage
operations. This role ensures guests are greeted, seated, and assisted in a timely and courteous
manner and provides guest service support across multiple outlets and locations as assigned,
based on business needs.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets, as assigned based on business needs
Greets guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, maintaining a polished and professional demeanor
Manages reservations and guest inquiries via phone and reservation systems using sound judgment and accurate timing
Monitors dining room activity to ensure appropriate seating flow, guest comfort, and service coordination
Seats guests by identifying clean, available tables and providing menus in accordance with service standards
Assists managers with opening, closing, and operational readiness of dining areas
Anticipates guest needs and responds appropriately to enhance the guest experience
Manages guest flow during peak periods and maintains order at the restaurant entrance
Assists service staff as needed to support efficient operations
Maintains familiarity with menus, daily specials, VIP guests, function sheets, and hotel activities
Thanks guests upon departure and invites them to return, ensuring a positive closing interaction
Duties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.
Must be available to work varied schedules, shifts, and locations, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and different outlets as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferred
Fine dining or steakhouse experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment
Professional appearance, demeanor, and performance standards required
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays and overtime
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including entire shifts
Requires repetitive motion
Work may be performed in indoor and outdoor environments
