Showroom Sales and Design Associate

Is interior design your passion? It is our passion too. Tile Sensations is a family owned business serving Knoxville for 30+ years and we are looking to add a member to our sales team. In this position you would help clients select tile and accessories for their projects.

• Meet with showroom customers (limited walk-ins + scheduled appointments)
• Guide customers through product selection
• Create accurate quotes and proposals
• Follow up on all active quotes and opportunities
• Close sales from showroom traffic
• Ensure timely response to all customer inquiries and leads
• Comfortable working in a low-traffic showroom environment
• Self-motivated with strong follow-up discipline
• Ability to manage multiple active customer opportunities
• Basic computer skills (design software experience a plus)

Tile experience is not necessary, we can teach that, but a good eye for color and balance is needed. QuickBooks experience helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Sketchup experience is a huge bonus.

Things you should know":

• Retail Sales
• Saturdays 11a - 3p required.
• 20 - 30 hours per week during training. More hours available if desired after training.
• Eligible for Bonus, PTO, Holiday Pay, In-Store Discounts after probation period.
• Bonus structure available after training when maintaining sales goal levels.
• Closed Sundays
• Closed most holidays, including 10 days at Christmas!

The optimal candidate will:

• Is confident both designing and closing sales
• Enjoys working directly with customers
• Can stay productive without constant walk-in traffic
• Is disciplined in follow-up
• Wants to be rewarded for performance, not just hours worked
• Have a minimum 2 years in a design related field
• Quickbooks experience (desired but not required)
• Be available to attend industry functions (average 1-2 monthly meetings)
• Be ready to work as part of a team in a creative environment
• Thrive in a busy, multitasking environment
