Title and Survey Attorney

National Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic and busy Real Estate practice. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of relevant experience, preferably from a large law firm or a title company environment.

Job Summary

The attorney will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of title and survey review and real estate due diligence across the firm's real estate transactions. This is a critical, client-facing role that supports all types and sizes of transactions, ensuring seamless and compliant deals by identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Title and Survey Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of title commitments, title reports, and property surveys to identify and resolve issues such as easements, boundary disputes, and liens.
  • Real Estate Due Diligence: Manage the full due diligence process for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing, including coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing environmental reports, zoning matters, and property condition assessments.
  • Transaction Coordination: Collaborate with partners, clients, paralegals, and opposing counsel to drive deals forward, monitor timelines, and ensure all closing conditions are met.
  • Document Management: Draft, review, and negotiate transaction-related documents, including title objection letters, purchase and sale agreements, and closing documents.
  • Risk Mitigation: Analyze and advise clients and senior attorneys on legal risks identified during the due diligence process and develop strategies to address potential issues.
  • Process Improvement: Help maintain and refine the firm's due diligence processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the state bar.
  • At least six years of experience focusing on real estate transactions, with a heavy emphasis on title and survey review and due diligence.
  • Experience in a large law firm or title company is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $185,000.00 - $295,320.42 per year
