Title Clerk Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Title Clerk to join our team, here at Viva Auto Group in El Paso, TX. The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate processing of title documents for. They play a key role in maintaining legal compliance and supporting smooth transactions between buyers, sellers, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vehicle title paperwork for new and used vehicles accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and submit legal documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or relevant agencies
- Verify accuracy of title applications and ensure all required information is complete and in compliance with state regulations
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding title information
- Confirm funds have been collected and lienholders paid before processing titles
- Maintain records of all title transactions and outstanding title work
- Stay updated on title regulations and attend relevant training sessions
- Provide monthly reports on title status and unresolved issues
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Title Clerk (At least 1 year) - REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED; associate degree preferred
- Customer service experience (At least 3 years) -REQUIRED
- Prior experience in administrative, bank, dealerships preferred
- Experience with ATVs, Power Center, etc. preferred
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with title and registration processes
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Prior experience in administrative or dealership roles is a plus
