Toddler Child Care Teachers (YMCA Child Learning Center)

The YMCA Child Learning Center, located on the north side of Appleton is hiring full-time lead-qualified child care teachers. Work full-time caring for our teeny-tiny friends in our licensed 2-year old classroom. Create an environment that fosters early learning and social development, enhance children's learning experience through play, language, and interactive activities, as well as use positive procedures when guiding children's behavior. Families love bringing their children to our early childhood care programs because of our amazing teachers.

This is a full-time position with hours of availability, Monday through Friday between 6:30 am-5:45 pm.

Applicants who do not obtain these courses are encouraged to apply. The Y can provide coursework & support to complete these requirements.

• 18 years of age or older.
• Completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.
• Previous experience working with infants and children is preferred.

Lead Teacher Positions Possess one or more of the following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire, in addition to completing Introduction to Child Care Professions:

• Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher
• Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or education-related.
• Teacher registry certificate
