Toddler/ Preschool Lead and Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
  • Lead classroom activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and early intervention strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that align with educational standards and incorporate standardized testing preparation when appropriate.
  • Engage actively with children through tutoring, storytelling, and hands-on activities that foster cognitive growth and love for learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom observations to support ongoing educational planning.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential; classroom experience with toddlers and preschoolers is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, Montessori methods, and classroom management best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families and team members effectively.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math, physical education, and literacy activities tailored to young learners’ needs.
  • Experience working with children requiring special education services or early intervention programs is a plus.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; ongoing professional development in childhood development topics is encouraged. Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
