Duties

  • Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
  • Monitor and support individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behavior, and daily activities to inform ongoing development assessments.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children’s milestones, address concerns, and share developmental insights.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children.
  • Experience working in daycare settings or with young children in roles such as babysitting or nannying is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and effective learning environments.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies.
  • Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or disabilities through specialized educational strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and caregivers.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
