Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. In this vital role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating Christian environment tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including faith, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
  • Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive interactions among children
  • Supervise and engage with toddlers during activities such as playtime, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor excursions
  • Monitor each child's progress and behavior, applying effective behavior management strategies to support positive development
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
  • Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety issues that arise

Experience

  • Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or early childhood education programs
  • Classroom management skills tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in early childhood education is advantageous
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for toddlers
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play
