Job Summary
We are seeking a loving teacher to join our educational ministry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development of children aged 0 to 5 years. Your role will involve planning engaging activities, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and self-expression.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational or caregiving setting (e.g., daycare, babysitting).
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies for engaging young learners.
- Ability to provide first aid if necessary; certification in first aid is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with students who have disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing demeanor combined with strong organizational skills to manage daily classroom activities effectively.
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
