Tow Truck Driver

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team at our Zachary, Louisiana location. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting disabled vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and a valid commercial driver's license.

Weekly pay based on experience

Duties:

- Safely operate a tow truck or flatbed to transport vehicles in a timely and courteous manner.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on the tow truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance on the tow truck to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair minor mechanical issues on the tow truck.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to safely lift and load vehicles onto the tow truck.
- Drive the tow truck in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Manage conflicts and difficult situations with customers.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Collaborate with other drivers and the mechanic team to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Keep accurate records of service calls, including vehicle information and any repairs performed.

Skills:

- Experience operating a tow truck or flatbed.
- Valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record- REQUIRED
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and the ability to repair minor mechanical issues is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating a manual transmission vehicle.
- Ability to drive in a variety of weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
- Familiarity with fork lift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $600.00 - $700.00 per week
