Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize towing requests via multi-line phone systems and digital platforms, ensuring timely dispatching of tow trucks.
• Utilize GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management systems such as Towbook to locate vehicles, plan routes, and optimize dispatch operations.
• Coordinate with drivers, and customers to schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently.
• Maintain accurate data entry of all dispatch activities, including unit details, vehicle status updates, and incident reports.
• Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle locations, statuses, and maintenance needs while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and customers using professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching within towing environments.
• Strong knowledge of GPS technology, dispatch software, and computers.
• Familiarity with fleet management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for transportation planning and supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy using typing skills on various platforms including Towbook.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
