About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Track Inspector to join our railway maintenance team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our railway tracks through regular inspections, detailed reporting, and collaboration with maintenance teams.

Conduct thorough inspections of railway tracks, switches, and associated infrastructure to identify defects, wear, and potential safety hazards • Utilise specialised track inspection equipment and tools to measure and analyse track geometry, rail wear, and other critical parameters • Prepare detailed inspection reports, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions • Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritise and schedule necessary repairs and upgrades • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards, including local Saudi Arabian railway regulations

Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programmes • Assist in the investigation of track-related incidents and contribute to root cause analysis • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in track inspection techniques and technologies • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance activities, and follow-up actions • Adapt inspection and maintenance strategies to account for the unique challenges posed by the desert climate in Saudi Arabia
What do we need from you

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 10 years of experience in railway track inspection or a related field with international engineering consultants for PMC projects • Track Safety Certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe • In-depth knowledge of railway track components, systems, and inspection techniques • Proficiency in using track inspection equipment and tools • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous • Proficiency in using computer systems for reporting and data analysis • Comprehensive understanding of railway safety regulations and standards, including familiarity with local Saudi Arabian railway regulations

Experience working in challenging weather conditions, particularly in desert environments • Physical ability to walk long distances along tracks and work in various weather conditions • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various locations within the railway network • Adaptability and resilience to work effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment
