Trade Services Analyst, Global Trade Solutions - Job Id: 42425
We are currently seeking an ambitious person to be part of HSBC within the "Document Management Team" in Global Trade Solutions (GTS) who will be responsible for assisting customers with their GTS needs, accepting customers' physical trade documents, and releasing approved and completed trade instruments at the DMT in line with meeting and exceeding SLAs and ensuring a welcoming and efficient document management environment.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain and improve productivity by ensuring the GTS DMT functions are processed, scanned, and dispatched efficiently and in line with or exceeding SLAs, maintaining good communication with all stakeholders (e.g., GSC, Courier, RM, BDMs, CSM) and all other internal customers.
- Support daily DMT operations, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure all bank belongings such as stamps, letterheads, and customer documents are securely stored at all times.
- Ensure all operations under your responsibility comply with trade policies and procedures, FIM, UCP600, audit, internal FIM guidelines, compliance, money laundering regulations, and other related guidelines.
- Adhere to all banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure the security of customer information and transactions. Report any suspicious activity or potential security risks to the supervisor.
- Work with other GTS functions and teams to maintain and improve GTS DMT operations and service standards.
- Contribute to the efficiency of DMT services by managing documents, attending meetings on time, completing all required training, and reporting to DMT well before working hours to ensure systems are ready to serve customers at DMT working hours.
- Represent the team in customer facing interactions at the GTS branch counters, handling customer documentation, providing servicing support, and resolving customer queries.
- Act as a key point of contact at the GTS branch counters, ensuring adherence to operational standards and delivering a high level of customer service.
- Self motivate to enroll in training for career development as per your career aspiration plan. Seek effective ongoing coaching, counselling, and feedback on performance including half year and year end appraisals.
- Assist the manager in keeping overheads within the plan and effectively managing all DMT supplies, identifying cost saving opportunities.
- Cover other DMT colleagues in other DMT locations during their absence or where required.
- Escalate any issues beyond your control and address them for resolution.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Self motivated with an initiative to take on new and additional responsibilities.
- Possess general knowledge of all trade products.
- Previous experience in customer service or a banking environment is preferred but not required.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling customer documentation at the branch counter and record keeping.
- Ability to identify and resolve customer issues effectively.
- A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up to date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE).
