Traffic Manager

Scheduling

• Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on project demands and inventory levels

• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and procurement teams to prioritize workloads

• Monitor production capacity, labor availability, and material supply to prevent delays

• Adjust schedules in real time to accommodate job changes, rush orders, or field needs

• Track production output and ensure alignment with delivery timelines

Shipping & Dispatch

• Plan and coordinate all outbound deliveries to job sites, transfers, job site pack outs and fuel deliveries.

• Dispatch drivers and coordinate 3rd party drivers' usage for maximum efficiency

• Ensure all shipments are accurate, properly documented, and loaded safely

• Optimize delivery routes and timing to reduce costs and delays

• Track shipments and proactively communicate status updates to internal teams

Operations & Coordination

• Serve as the central communication point between production and field teams

• Maintain real-time visibility of production status and deliveries

• Implement and manage dispatch and scheduling of mobilization

• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations

Leadership & Oversight

• Oversee loaders, drivers, and deadlines

• Train staff on systems, processes, and performance expectations

• Monitor team productivity and hold staff accountable to deadlines
• 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, logistics, or dispatch (construction or manufacturing preferred)

• Proven experience managing both production flow and delivery logistics

• Strong understanding of construction materials, workflows, and job site coordination

• Experience with scheduling/dispatch software, inventory management systems and transportation management systems.

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership and communication abilities

• Experience in high-volume or multi-site operations

• Familiarity with integrated scheduling platforms and MS software

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience is a plus

• Combination of office, production floor, warehouse and operations yard settings

• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with frequent schedule changes

• Daily coordination with drivers, plant/yard staff, and field teams

• Ability to work in a production/warehouse environment

• Occasional lifting to 30 lbs.

• Standing, walking, and outdoor exposure as needed

The Traffic Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing daily production schedules while overseeing shipping, logistics, and dispatch operations. This role ensures that materials are produced and delivered accurately, in an efficient manner and on time to meet project deadlines. This position serves as a key link between Mag Yard, Mag 44 production, warehouse, and field operations.
