The Traffic Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of traffic signal systems to ensure safe and efficient traffic operations.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of traffic controllers, signal heads, pedestrian signals, push buttons, loops, feeder pillars, UPS, and Smart Pedestrian Systems (SPS).
- Replace faulty LEDs, lamps, control cards, and pedestrian push buttons.
- Test and restore connectivity between controllers and SCATS.
- Inspect cabling, poles, and junction infrastructure for damages.
- Provide immediate corrective maintenance in case of breakdowns or faults.
- Maintain accurate records of faults rectified, spare parts used, and work completed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical / Electronics / Traffic Systems.
- 3–5 years’ experience in traffic signal maintenance.
- Hands-on skills in troubleshooting traffic controllers (Tyco Eclipse, ATC, QTC).
- Knowledge of SCATS operation and field wiring.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency callouts.
