The City of Aurora is seeking a Traffic and Signs Marketing Technician to ensure our roads remain safe. If you get a warm fuzzy feeling from seeing a freshly painted crosswalk or a perfectly positioned stop sign, you might just be the hero we need.
This job is like being the unsung champion of city streets. You'll be doing hands-on work, making sure our Signs and Markings team runs smoothly. Picture yourself as the guardian of road rules, installing traffic signs, painting pavement markings, and playing traffic cop in construction zones.

This position is fully onsite and requires frequent travel across the city, necessitating in-and-out of vehicles. In addition, if you are the selected candidate, a valid Colorado driver's license and an MVR are required.
Hiring salary $22.93 - $28.66/hour
Salary to be commensurate with experience.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
The Traffic Signs & Markings Technician performs skilled manual and technical maintenance and/or operational activities for the Traffic Signs & Markings workgroup.

The city of Aurora will implement furlough days (unpaid days off) for most employees in 2026. The scheduled furlough dates are January 16, April 10, July 2, and December 24.
