TRAILER HEAVY DRIVER

Job Summary

The Trailer Heavy Driver is responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trailers to transport goods and materials between locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to safety, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the vehicle in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trailer trucks safely in accordance with traffic rules and company policies.
• Transport goods, materials, and equipment to assigned destinations on schedule.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, tires, fuel, lights, coupling system, etc.).
• Ensure secure loading and unloading of cargo following safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and supervisors regarding delivery status.
• Adhere to all road safety standards and defensive driving practices.
• Report any mechanical issues or delays immediately to the supervisor.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Qatar license).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a heavy or trailer driver.
• Good knowledge of local routes, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices.
• Ability to work long hours when required.
• Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.
• Physically fit and responsible with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transport, or construction industry.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of trailers and heavy trucks.
