Trainee Accountant – (Remotely) (Anywhere) (Based in Pakistan)

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Trainee Accountant to join our growing firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking hands-on experience and professional development in UK accountancy practices.

Key Responsibilities:

As an ACCA Trainee Accountant, you will be working under the guidance of senior accountants to support the following tasks:

  • Bookkeeping & Reconciliation
  • Handling sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Conducting bank, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Utilizing accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and Free Agent for bookkeeping.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports and board packs.
  • Supporting the preparation of payroll allocation and reallocation journals.
  • Assisting with accruals, prepayment journals, and corporation tax provisions.
  • Compliance Support
  • Assisting in the preparation of UK statutory accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102.
  • Supporting the preparation and filing of Corporation Tax returns (CT600).
  • Assisting with Self-Assessment Tax returns (Personal Tax) and UK VAT returns.
  • Supplier & Client Communication
  • Assisting with aged payable reporting and supplier account reconciliations.
  • Drafting client query emails and providing timely responses under supervision.
  • Technical Proficiency Development
  • Gaining experience with tools like Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Tax Filer, Free Agent, and IRIS PTP Accounts Production.
  • Other Learning Opportunities
  • Understanding budget/service codes, cost centers, and revenue centers.
  • Developing knowledge of government grants and deferred grant treatments.
  • Attending weekly Teams and/or MS Teams meetings to collaborate with the team.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified ACCA or currently pursuing ACCA.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to UK accountancy standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
