Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Trainee Automation Sales Engineer to join our Industrial Automation Sales team. The selected candidate will receive hands-on training in industrial automation products, technical sales, customer relationship management, and business development. This role is ideal for fresh engineering graduates who are passionate about industrial technology and aspire to build a career in technical sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the company's automation products, solutions, and services.
- Assist the Sales Engineers in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Visit customers to understand their automation requirements under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
- Support proposal preparation, tender documentation, and bid submissions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and principals for technical specifications and pricing.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for customers.
- Maintain regular follow-up with prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Projects teams for solution development.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update the CRM system.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Participate in exhibitions, seminars, technical workshops, and customer events.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs after the training period.
- Prepare weekly sales activity reports and submit them to the reporting manager.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and professional ethics.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience may also be considered.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial automation concepts.
- Knowledge of electrical control systems and industrial instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or EPLAN will be an advantage.
