Position Summary

The Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training and development programs that support safety, technical proficiency, compliance, and leadership growth within the organization. This position will play a key role in ensuring that all employees—from field crews to supervisors—are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and certifications necessary to perform their roles effectively and safely in accordance with industry regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage comprehensive training programs tailored to the energy construction and pipeline sectors.
  • Oversee onboarding training for new hires, including safety protocols, company procedures, and job-specific tasks.
  • Coordinate mandatory regulatory and compliance training (e.g., OSHA, DOT, PHMSA).
  • Maintain training records and ensure that certifications and renewals are tracked and up to date.
  • Collaborate with operations, safety, and HR teams to identify training needs and develop solutions.
  • Select, manage, and evaluate external training vendors and tools when necessary.
  • Facilitate in-house training sessions, workshops, and safety meetings as needed.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and technology advancements to ensure training programs remain relevant and effective.
  • Conduct assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support career development initiatives including mentorship programs (SSE), cross-training, and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training or workforce development, preferably in energy, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline operations, safety regulations, and construction practices.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate training programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms is a plus.
  • Certification in training or safety (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), OSHA Trainer Certification) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
