JOB SUMMARY

A Transactional Paralegal will be a member of our paralegal team and will be preparing commercial leases and various documents for commercial and residential real estate closings from inception through post‑closing. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys, clients, mortgage brokers etc. to coordinate closing logistics and ensure that all documents are accurately drafted, executed, and organized.

The perfect candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively with others on their assigned caseloads, while being able to prioritize tasks based on case urgency and importance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare initial drafts of contracts, closing statements and other related ancillary documents.
  • Organize and maintain closing checklists; calendar and track due dates, deliverables, and signatures, and coordinate and follow up with attorneys, clients, and third parties to ensure all conditions precedent are satisfied.
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, lenders, title companies and managing agents to ensure smooth workflow and timely closings.
  • Coordinate execution of documents (including electronic signatures), notarizations, and delivery of originals; oversee compilation and distribution of closing sets and binders.
  • Assist with ordering and following up with receipt of title, lien, and other searches for real estate and financing closings.
  • Coordinate due diligence for real property transactions, including requesting questionnaires, board minutes, and other due diligence materials.
  • Prepare and file real estate transfer documents, including ACRIS, deeds, UCC documentation and other related ancillary documents.
  • Draft, revise, and finalize commercial lease agreements and related amendments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support leasing matters, including review and abstraction of lease terms, tracking critical dates, and coordinating lease-related notices and consents.
  • Maintain and update matter files (electronic and paper) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for audit.
  • Prepare correspondence and routine communications related to leases, closings, and post‑closing deliveries.
  • Assist with daily and other administrative tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration;
  • Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar;
  • Responds promptly to client needs; Regularly follows up; Maintains confidentiality, Upholds firm values;
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
