Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transcriber and Front Desk Office Secretary to join our administrative team. This role combines precise transcription duties with front desk responsibilities, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in editing, proofreading, and translation. Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings, interviews, and meetings into written documents, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Edit and proofread transcriptions for grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines such as the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Manage incoming calls and visitors with professionalism, providing information or directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain organized records of correspondence, documents, and files in both physical and digital formats.
  • Assist with translation tasks from English to other languages or vice versa, supporting communication needs across diverse audiences.
  • Perform general administrative duties including scheduling appointments, handling mail, and managing office supplies.
  • Ensure the front desk area remains welcoming, tidy, and efficiently organized at all times.

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in transcription with excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills to ensure high-quality written content.
  • Fluency in English with outstanding writing skills for clear communication.
  • Familiarity with style guides such as the Chicago Manual of Style for consistent formatting.
  • Experience with translation services to facilitate multilingual communication.

Pay: $23.24 - $27.99 per hour
