Transit Dispatch/Backup Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, positive person that is flexible to switch from working in the office as a relief dispatcher to driving the bus route or dial-a-ride as a relief driver on a daily basis to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring efficient fleet management, and facilitating effective communication between our passengers and bus operators. This position requires strong analytical, time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• a variety of routine clerical, administrative and technical work in receiving and dispatching routine and emergency information.
• Keeping official records and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the transit program and dial-a-ride.
• Filling in as a back-up driving as needed
• Willingness to participate in shared cleaning duties of the vehicles, office, and bathrooms.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience in transportation planning or fleet management is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and members of our community.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, & power point.
• Must be able to multitask
• clean driving record

Must be able to pass a drug test which includes THC, upon being hired and comply to random drug/THC tests during employment per FTA & Town of Miami Drug Free workplace policy and procedures.
