Location: Project based in Syria (deployment in Aleppo, Idlib, and Damascus areas). Work will be primarily site-based inside Syria. Field-based; periodic travel between 132–400 kV line sites

Responsibilities

  • Supervise erection of towers, stringing of conductors, and installation of OPGW.
  • Verify survey data, sag-tension calculations, and foundation works.
  • Inspect materials and ensure conformity with design drawings and IEC / IEEE standards.
  • Coordinate with civil and safety teams on site-access and environmental compliance.
  • Prepare daily inspection and progress reports.

Qualifications (RFP requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
  • 10 years’ professional experience, including 7 years in construction or supervision of HV transmission lines (≥ 132 kV).
  • Familiarity with PLS-CADD / PLS-Tower and QA/QC procedures.
  • Knowledge of World Bank EHS Guidelines and utility safety requirements.
  • Arabic fluency; English reading and writing ability preferred.

Compensation: Local salary plus field allowance and safety-performance bonus; relocation bonus for out-of-area hires.
