Transport Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Transport Manager to oversee and manage the company’s transportation operations across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, logistics coordination, and billing/invoicing processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Transport & Fleet Management

• Manage daily transport operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles
• Oversee a large fleet of vehicles (light/heavy vehicles, equipment, etc.)
• Ensure optimal vehicle utilization and route planning
• Monitor fuel consumption and implement cost-control measures

Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance

• Ensure all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and compliant with UAE regulations
• Coordinate with workshops for repairs and preventive maintenance
• Maintain records of registration, insurance, and permits
• Ensure compliance with RTA and UAE transport laws

Team Management

• Supervise drivers, transport coordinators, and support staff
• Conduct driver training, performance evaluations, and safety briefings
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards

Billing & Invoicing

• Manage transport-related invoicing and billing processes
• Verify trip sheets, delivery logs, and service reports
• Coordinate with finance for accurate and timely billing
• Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability of transport operations

Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with internal departments and clients for transport requirements
• Ensure timely delivery of goods/services
• Resolve operational issues and delays efficiently

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transport reports
• Maintain accurate records of operations, expenses, and fleet performance
• Analyze data to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in transport/fleet management
• Strong knowledge of UAE road transport regulations and compliance
• Experience handling fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and driver management
• Proficiency in transport management systems and MS Office
• Strong experience in invoicing, billing, and cost control
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction/logistics/contracting companies in UAE
• Valid UAE driving license
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
