Transportation Coordinator

Lake Port Square is recruiting for hospitality focused Transportation Coordinator to join our team on a Full- Time basis.

Here are a few daily responsibilities of a Transportation Coordinator:

1. Schedule medical and non-medical transportation appointments for Health Center residents. This will include obtaining medical itineraries from various institutions. Maintaining the transportation spreadsheet and distribute to drivers, concierges and caregiver offices each day.

2. Research, plan and organize group outings. This will include the promotion of these events by producing flyers, brochures, newsletter articles and sign-up sheets to inform our residents.

3. Monthly posting of resident transportation and outing expenses in our POS system.

4. Transport residents to routine scheduled excursions and resident requested appointments.

5. Schedule routine preventive maintenance for vehicle.

6. To keep vehicles in repair and observe safety regulations and requirements.

7. To communicate well with the residents and staff.

Here a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

1. High school education required; a college degree is preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, reads maps efficiently, and performs simple arithmetic.

2. Must have extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office software programs.

3. Having experience and knowledge with the EMR software, Vision is preferred.

4. Must have experience and knowledge of working with a POS/ accounting system.

5. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s license in the State. Must have a good driving record.

6. Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents and staff members at all times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be also to sit in a vehicle for up to 6 hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, snow, cold, heat) for short periods of time. Must have good driving skills in handling vehicles on wet and/or slippery roads.
