Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Pay Rate: $22.28

Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Transport residents as scheduled throughout designated suburban and city destinations.

· Manage daily transportation requests into efficient group transportation schedule and communicates schedule appropriately with residents.

· Ensure that all residents utilizing TNS transportation are transported to and from destinations safely.

· Assist all residents in and out of the vehicle including escorting up and down stairs or ramps and securing seatbelts, assistive devices and wheelchairs.

· Ensure all vehicle inspection tags, license stickers, and insurance cards are current and displayed properly.

· Maintain clean appearance of the vehicle(s) by performing/scheduling regular interior/exterior cleaning.

· Respond immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies.

· Report mechanical needs and repairs and assists in coordination of necessary vehicle maintenance and repair services, such as oil changes and tire rotations.

· Serve as activity/outing support as requested including but not limited to assisting with packages, groceries, accompanying residents on excursions (theater, restaurant, museum, etc.)

· Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

· Maintain a courteous, patient, and resident‑centered approach during all interactions.

· Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

· Adhere to all policies and procedures of Tamarisk NorthShore.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Corporate Compliance

· Attend required in services

· Report violations of law, regulations, policies, or procedures

· Report client abuse or neglect

· Record documentation timely, accurately, and completely

· This position has responsibility for HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Driving experience required

· Safe driving record

Language Skills

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have valid State of Illinois driver's license.

Other Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Able to safely lift up to 15 lbs.
