Overview

ColtonCooper Logistics, a fast-growing, family-owned logistics provider based in Denver, CO, is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for dispatching a regional truckload fleet and managing day-to-day operations across customers, drivers, trucks, and trailers.

We're looking for someone who not only understands logistics but also excels at delivering high-quality customer service — anticipating needs, solving problems quickly, and maintaining strong, ongoing communication with both shippers and receivers.

Key Responsibilities

· Dispatch and manage a fleet of regional truckload drivers

· Maintain consistent communication with drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries

· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing timely updates, resolving issues, and proactively managing expectations

· Track trailer and truck locations and availability in real-time

· Handle unexpected service challenges creatively and calmly

· Coordinate equipment needs and maintenance to minimize downtime

· Ensure accurate and timely load entry in the transportation management system (TMS)

· Work closely with the customer service and sales teams to meet service-level and revenue goals

Requirements

· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in truckload logistics or dispatch operations

· Strong customer service mindset — able to build trust, communicate clearly, and solve issues professionally

· Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

· Familiarity with TMS platforms and logistics software preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
