POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transportation Planning Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations utilizing Transportation Management Software. This role is critical to ensure on-time delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will excel at problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily coordination and planning of loads for multiple distribution centers utilizing our TMS system

Track shipments, obtain POD’s and escalate any issues both internally and externally as required

Support basic logistics reporting and KPI tracking

Potential growth opportunities including freight claims, invoice audit, carrier onboarding, SOP creation

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Transportation Manager
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree is preferred with transportation industry experience of 1-3 years or a combination of experience and education

Knowledge of transportation, supply chain or logistics planning & coordination preferred

Experience in Transportation Management System (TMS) planning and optimization, including planning and managing shipments/ appointments

Knowledge of cross-functional areas such as warehousing, supply chain, and customer service.

Oracle or ERP experience preferred

Experience and ability in using Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, by maintaining high output & resolutions to the occurring problems or issues, prioritizing time sensitive requests

Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done

Willingness to take on additional projects as needed

Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
The Company provides a compensation range for roles that may be hired in Illinois; this range may not apply to other locations. Compensation decisions are based on a combination of experience, skill set, role alignment, and internal equity. Offers are typically aligned to experience and may vary within the range.
The annual salary range for Illinois-based employees in this role is $45,000–$55,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus. This position is classified as salaried non-exempt.
