Transportation Specialist

For our Truck department in Jeddah (AlSuwat Group) We are seeking an experienced Transportation Specialist to support our growing trucking operations across Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. The ideal candidate will manage daily transport coordination, ensure compliance with customs and transport regulations, and provide strong support to drivers and customers to guarantee safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily truck dispatch, routes, and schedules.
• Prepare and verify transport documents (waybills, bills of lading, GCC transit manifests, delivery receipts).
• Manage cross-border requirements (customs, transit permits, e-manifests, and inspections).
• Ensure compliance with Saudi & GCC transportation regulations, weight/axle limits, and safety standards.
• Monitor driver performance, hours of service, and rest periods.
• Track shipments via GPS/TMS, resolve exceptions, and keep customers updated.
• Maintain records of vehicle registrations, insurance, permits, and licenses.
• Liaise with customs brokers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo flows.
• Support Transportation Manager in reporting and identifying operational improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport Management (preferred but not mandatory).
• 2–5 years of experience in truck transport operations, preferably within Saudi Arabia or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, GCC transit documentation, and Saudi transport permits.
• Familiarity with tracking systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Bilingual (Arabic & English) preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
