Role Overview

The Travel Consultant is responsible for assisting clients in planning, organizing, and booking their travel arrangements. As part of our Advanced Travel & Tourism team in Abu Dhabi, you'll work in an ONSITE environment focused on providing end-to-end travel planning and booking services, including flights, accommodations, transport, visas, and personalized itineraries. You will guide clients through each stage of their travel journey, delivering expert advice, tailored packages, and exceptional customer service while working to meet established sales and revenue targets. This role requires solid experience in both local and international travel, superior sales skills, destination knowledge, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to identify travel preferences, budgets, and special needs.
  • Plan and organize complete travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, transportation, and activities.
  • Book and issue tickets, manage reservations, and process payments efficiently.
  • Customize travel packages to suit individual client requirements and budgets.
  • Stay updated on travel trends, destination details, visa requirements, weather, customs, and regulations.
  • Provide responsive support before, during, and after trips to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets by promoting packages, special offers, and upselling additional services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel service providers such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators.
  • Design and distribute travel marketing materials (e.g., flyers, promotions).
  • Process UAE and international visa applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, sales reports, and client information.

Must Have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant in the UAE market.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (both spoken and written mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of GDS systems, particularly Amadeus — including pricing and ticket issuance.
  • Proficiency in travel booking software (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales and negotiation skills with a target-driven approach to achieving revenue goals.
  • Experience handling both corporate and leisure travel planning, including tour packages.
  • Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving abilities to swiftly address and resolve travel-related challenges.

Nice To Have Requirements

  • Additional travel industry certifications such as IATA.
  • Experience handling both corporate and leisure travel clients.
  • Marketing and promotional design experience.
  • Working knowledge of regional and international travel trends and emerging destinations.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
