American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR/Cath Lab experience, including Body (trauma) and Neuro (stroke) cases, for a 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, TX.

Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology Lab in Dallas, TX
-
Patient population spans newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups
-
Procedures include body/trauma and neuro/stroke interventional cases; Vascular Interventional (VI) experience is a plus
-
Epic EMR experience is preferred

4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM with a rotating day off

Rotating on-call shifts required; must be able to report and be ready for a case within 30 minutes of being called (including drive, parking, and walking time)

Floating within the facility may be required per facility policy

Minimum of 2 years of IR and/or Cath Lab experience required

Body (trauma) and Neuro (stroke) interventional experience required

Level I Trauma Center experience preferred

Active ARRT-R, TX MRT, and BLS (AHA only) required

TX license required if applicable

2 professional references required for consideration

DOB and SSN required for consideration

Flu shot is mandatory; no exemptions granted

Performs high-quality IR procedures including invasive multimodality procedures using proper sterile technique

Responsible for patient positioning, equipment setup, and adjusting exposure factors

Communicates with patients and families regarding procedures and assesses patient ability to tolerate exams

Maintains imaging records, documentation, and supplies inventory in compliance with department standards

May serve as a preceptor for new team members or on new services and initiatives

Must be able to administer first aid and use an emergency cart

Hospital provides scrubs

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify; local travelers are not accepted — note that the 50-mile radius rule is waived for travel pay rate eligibility due to call requirements, but candidates must still be able to meet the 30-minute call response requirement
