Travel Nanny Needed – Punta Cana (May 1–9, 2026)
Location: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Start Date: April 22, 2026 (approx. 1 week prior to travel for prep + transition)
Compensation: $30+/hour DOE + all travel, accommodations, and meals included

About the Family
A fun, high-energy, “young at heart” family of three is seeking a travel-ready nanny to support their 2-year-old daughter during an upcoming trip to Punta Cana. They value kindness, honesty, hard work, and creating a warm, collaborative environment where their caregiver truly feels like part of the team—not just “staff.”

They enjoy music, being outdoors, time at the beach or pool, and keeping things light and fun—while still maintaining structure where it matters most (especially for their child’s routine).

About the Child

  • 2.5-year-old girl with a big personality and generally happy, social demeanor
  • Thrives on routine: wakes ~7:30 AM, naps ~12–2 PM, bedtime ~7 PM
  • Loves: outdoor play, beach/pool time, pretend play, dress-up, crafts, books, bubbles, and being your “helper”
  • Currently working on: potty training, manners, sharing, and emotional regulation

The Goal of This Role
To bring calm, structure, and fun into a travel setting—keeping the child engaged, supported, and regulated so the family can fully enjoy their time together.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with pre-trip preparation (packing, organizing child-related travel items, routine alignment)
  • Providing full childcare support during travel (days, transitions, outings, and evenings)
  • Planning and engaging in age-appropriate, active play (pool, beach, walks, activities)
  • Supporting meals, snacks, and maintaining familiar routines while away
  • Assisting with nap and bedtime routines in a new environment
  • Encouraging developmental goals (manners, communication, independence)
  • Maintaining a clean and organized environment for child-related items
  • Traveling alongside the family and adapting to a flexible, shared schedule

Schedule Expectations:

  • Pre-trip: ~12-hour days to support preparation and transition
  • During travel: flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and potential overnight support
  • Candidates must be comfortable with long days and a dynamic travel flow

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced travel nanny or highly adaptable caregiver
  • Strong swimmer and confident supervising in pool/beach environments
  • High energy and engaging—able to keep up with an active toddler
  • Calm, patient, and skilled in guiding toddler behavior without yelling
  • Organized and proactive (you see the need before it becomes a problem)
  • Flexible, easygoing, and comfortable working closely with parents
  • Professional but warm—you can read the room and adjust accordingly

Additional Details:

  • No dietary restrictions for the child
  • Family values a calm, respectful communication style (no yelling approach)
  • One friendly English bulldog at home (not part of travel care)
  • Accommodations during travel will be provided (details discussed with selected candidate)

Future Opportunities (Strong Potential for Ongoing Work):

  • Summer position in Old Lyme, Connecticut
  • Ongoing travel support (Florida long weekends, holiday travel, and future international trips)

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
