Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent experience for a 13-week acute care/hospital-based outpatient PT assignment on a day shift schedule in Dexter, MO.

Details

• Hospital-based outpatient physical therapy setting within a 48-bed acute care facility
• Patient population includes orthopedic, general, routine, and sports medicine cases
• Daily patient load of 10–14 patients
• 5x8 day shift schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent PT experience in the specialty required
• Outpatient setting experience required
• Current CPR/BLS certification per facility standard required
• Active PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills required
• A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required; exemptions must be client-approved

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include initial evaluation, development and execution of individualized treatment plans, progress tracking, and patient discharge planning
• Treatment interventions may include therapeutic exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, manual therapy, hydrotherapy, aquatic therapy, massage, and traction
• Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, instructing patients and families in home treatment procedures, and serving as clinical instructor for PT/PTA students
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but should be aware of local contract restrictions limiting consecutive placements at the same facility
• The facility is located in Southeast Missouri near I-55, I-57, US Highway 60, and MO Highway 25, offering access to outdoor recreation and local amenities
