American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient PT position at a freestanding outpatient facility, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and first-time travelers welcome.

Freestanding outpatient facility with one-on-one patient care

Patient mix is approximately 70% orthopedic and 30% neurological, with a variety of diagnoses
-
Evaluations are scheduled at 60 minutes; treatment sessions are typically 30 minutes, with some at 45 or 60 minutes depending on patient needs

14 evaluations are blocked per week per therapist; remaining schedule consists of treatments
-
Therapists may choose between five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days (day shift, 8:00–18:00)

Dedicated chart review time is built into the schedule: 2 sessions of 30 minutes per day for 8-hour shifts, or 3 sessions of 30 minutes per day for 10-hour shifts

Epic is used for charting; training is provided during orientation

No on-call or floating requirements

Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required

Current BLS certification required

MO State PT License required at time of consideration; IL candidates may submit with a pending IL license

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Multidisciplinary team includes PTs, PTAs, OTs, and SLPs, with specialty programs in pelvic health, lymphedema, LSVT, chronic pain, and vestibular therapy

Orientation consists of approximately 1.5 days of hospital orientation followed by 1.5 days of department orientation, with additional charting time provided during the first one to two weeks

No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this facility system as a traveler

Travelers may work up to 18 months before a 3-month break in service is required

Allied travelers may work up to 12 months before a 6-month break in service is required
