Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing and rehab setting for a 13-week SNF contract with a Monday–Friday day schedule.

Details

  • Work setting is a skilled nursing facility with a mix of approximately 80–90% general outpatient PT and 10–20% inpatient/swing bed
  • Patient load of 10–13 patients per day
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
  • Contract length is 13 weeks
  • Epic is the preferred EMR system
  • Free residential parking is available on site

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of PT experience in an outpatient and/or inpatient skilled nursing and rehab setting
  • Valid state Physical Therapist license required; license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Strong teamwork, customer service, and self-starter qualities are highly valued

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing individualized treatment programs in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Business casual attire or solid color scrubs with closed-toe shoes required
  • COVID and flu vaccination declinations are accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate; candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation — maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
  • Travelers may work up to 18 months continuously before a 3-month break in service is required; for Allied and Non-Clinical roles, the maximum continuous period is 12 months before a 6-month break is required
  • Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Compliance documentation must be complete before the clinician can begin seeing patients; this process may take 2–3 weeks
