American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and/or PICU experience for a day shift travel assignment in a pediatric acute care hospital NICU unit.

Work in the NICU unit of a 400-bed children's acute care teaching hospital
-
Pediatric patient population including NICU and PICU settings
-
Experience with ED and Level 1 trauma facility required
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating within scope may be required as needed to meet facility needs
-
No on-call required

Epic EMR — experience required
-
13-week contract
-
Current RRT and BLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

NICU and/or PICU experience required
-
Experience in ED and Level 1 trauma facility required
-
Pediatric and pediatric critical care experience required
-
Valid Missouri state license required for consideration; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (must be noted at time of consideration)

License required if applicable

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Scrub color is open — facility-branded T-shirts and jackets are also acceptable

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Standard travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Allied and non-clinical travelers may remain for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required

Parking is available in an on-site garage at the candidate's expense
