American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) with at least 1 year of NICU experience for a day shift position covering adult, pediatric, and Level 2 NICU patients.

Work in a hospital respiratory therapy department serving adult, pediatric, and Level 2 NICU patients
-
Attend high-risk deliveries as part of NICU responsibilities

Performs invasive and non-invasive respiratory care including ventilator management, emergency airway management, extubation, tracheotomies, arterial punctures, and Bubble CPAP
-
12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage required
-
No call required
-
CRT or RRT credential required; candidates within 6 months of graduation from a Registry Program must attain RRT within 90 days of hire

Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required

Experience with Bubble CPAP required

Experience managing NICU patients on ventilators required

Active VA Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP

Vocational/Technical Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other staff

Proof of address and 1 supervisory reference required for consideration

Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration

Provide invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under physician supervision, including evaluation of cardiopulmonary function and assessment of treatment effectiveness

Patient population spans neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

First-time travelers: manager conducts interviews, typically via ITO with a possible second interview
