Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric and/or neonatal ICU experience for a night shift PICU travel assignment at a children's hospital in Nebraska.

Details

  • Children's hospital setting with 145 staffed beds, designated as a Level 2 Trauma center
  • Rotates across NICU, PICU, and CICU units
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • Weekend work required
  • Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
  • No floating to sister facilities
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Servo I ventilator experience required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric and/or neonatal ICU respiratory therapy experience
  • Active CRT or RRT credential required; CRT accepted at time of signing, RRT required upon start
  • NE state license required if applicable — must apply within the first 40 hours of signing, with proof of application provided
  • Current certifications: BLS, PALS, CRTT/RRT
  • Experience with Servo I ventilators required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include natural and artificial airway management, non-invasive and invasive ventilator management, cardiopulmonary assessment, bronchial hygiene therapies, respiratory medication delivery, medical gas therapy, aerosol/humidity management, respiratory education (asthma, trach, pulmonary disease), and CPR
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable
  • RTO of 5 days or fewer is preferred; 6–10 days of RTO may require extending the contract end date
