American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night shift contract at a Boston-area rehabilitation hospital, providing clinical respiratory care to critically ill patients.

13-week contract

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

RRT credential (NBRC) preferred
-
MA Respiratory Therapist license required; conditional licenses not accepted

BLS certification required — AHA only; no other issuers accepted
-
NRP certification preferred
-
0–1 year of respiratory care experience preferred

Ability to walk distances and push medical equipment weighing under 100 lbs

Ability to stand immobile for extended periods

License required if applicable

2 professional references required for consideration

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Initiates and assists with respiratory tests and procedures, responds to respiratory emergencies, and transports mechanically ventilated patients

Prepares and modifies patient care plans, making specific therapy recommendations to physicians as an active member of the care team

Conducts regular bedside rounds and administers respiratory therapy modalities to assigned patients

Participates in education of students, physicians, staff, and patients/families, including clinical supervision of respiratory therapy students

Time is tracked using UKG/Kronos

No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking lots are available at the candidate's expense, and public transportation is encouraged

Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible for this position but will be offered a reduced pay rate
